26 Apr AT 1000 MIGLIA FOR THE FIRST ONE OF CIWRC!

Seven crews, four of them are enrolled for the WRC Italian Championship, this is the Power Car Team’s deployment at “1000 Miglia”.

Power Car Team is ready to start the adventure of CIWRC and it is at the 42th Rally 1000 Miglia with seven crews.

There are four enrolled for the WRC Italian Championship, all hungry for wins in a series which grows year by year and shaping up to be hard and selective. Andrea Carella as the “team leader”, flanked by Enrico Bracchi, will be on the starting line aboard Peugeot 208 T16 R5 to seek the maximum result also in this important scenario, and continuing the seasonal winning streak. Three crews will follow aboard Peugeot 207 S2000: Mauro Trentin/Michele Coletti, Stefano Liburdi/Andrea Colapietro and Giampaolo Bizzotto/Sandra Tommasini. For all of them it will be a nice home-battle, because they are all at a great level and able to perform to the top of the class.

Ready to battle on the Brescia asphalts also the experts Tiziano Panato and Michele Zandonà on board of Peugeot 207 S2000, the reigning champions Paolo Menegatti and Matteo Gambasin aboard Renault Clio S1600 who this year they will be on the starting line of all the CIWRC races but not officially enrolled for the championship. Finally Stefano Baggio and Francesco Berdin will be aboard the little of Peugeot, the 208 R2.

Focal point of the event will be Lungo Lago Zanardelli in Salò, place chosen for the start and the arrival of the race that is scheduled on Friday 27 and Saturday 28, after performing 9 special tests and 124,48 timed kilometers.

BACK FROM THE WEEKEND

At the 10th Liburna Terra, first of six appointments of CIRT, the couple Bresolin/Pollet, after starting with an incredible pace, recording the best timing at the first lap on the “Ulignano”, he made a mistake in the tyres choice, neutralising the good start and making difficult the rest of the PSes. Bresolin ended anyway in sixth place, raising the first points of the championship and sounding a warning note to the Terra’s opponents.

In Belluno, at the 3rd Dolomiti Rally, Carlo Colferai flanked by Alice Mosele has won the S2000 class and the second place in the overall rank, thanks to an excellent performance. Good also Andrea Piva’s performance, aboars 207 S2000 as well, who has gained the third class place.

In Slovenia, Bernd Zanon and Denis Piceno proved themselves at the 8th Rally Vipavska Dolina. The couple, at their first time with the 208 R5, has had a fought race until the last test which has brought good results; for them the third class place and the first place in Alpe Adria Rally Cup.
