ANOTHER DOUBLE IS ARRIVING WITH “COMO” AND “MAREMMA”

All is ready for a new amazing race weekend on the Italian ground with four crews, equally deployed between Aci Como Trophy and Maremma Trophy
Stefano Liburdi goes to the 37th Trofeo Aci Como, last appointment of Campionato Italiano WRC, flanked again aboard Peugeot 207 S2000 by Andrea Colapietro, he has to defend the third position conquered during the season. Riccardo Pederzani will drive the second Peugeot 207 S2000 in the National version of rally. Last season he experienced CIR Junior with the Schio team and now he seeks to achieve a podium placement in the overall classification.
Great expectation also for the 42nd Maremma Trophy and Michele Rovatti’s debut, who, after winning all with the Renault Clio S1600, goes straight on the aspirated four-wheel-drive aboard the Peugeot 207 S2000, flanked as usual by Valentina Catone. Luca Cecchettini will be on race as well, aboard Peugeot 208 T16 R5, at his first seasonal race, wishing to attack the top of the classification.
RALLY DUE VALLI IN PILLS
Last weekend the “2Valli” ended CIR 2018, the maximum expression of Italian rally.
The last CIR Junior appointment was unlucky for Stefano Strabello, blocked by a road exit, during the “Cà del Diavolo” PS, that prevented himself to arrive to the final stage in piazza Brà. Good performance for dad Paolo Strabello, who arrived as class leader and 16th in the overall classification, at his first experience with Peugeot 207 S2000. Satisfied also Mauro Mastella, who, aboard Renault Clio S1600, ended his weekend in the second class place.
Two drivers were at the Regional version of the event, Tiziano Panato and Davide Pighi, both aboard Peugeot 208 T16 R5. Panato, at his second race with the R5, continued his car learning, gaining relevant timings and ending in the fifth class position; quick but unlucky was Pighi, “stopped” by a momentary car problem during the PS3 that made he lose eight minutes.
