10 May CIUFFI IS STABLE IN CHARGE OF CIR JUNIOR

At Targa Florio, at the second appointment of CIR Junior, great performance for Ciuffi, high level also for Strabello, unlucky in the final. In Sardinia, at Rally del Vermentino, Edoardo Bresolin aboard 208 R5 is ready for the rescue in CIRT and Marco Rigali on the starting line on board of 208 R2.

Tommaso Ciuffi, in a couple with Nicolò Gonella, confirmed himself as an high level pilot and got a new brilliant performance aboard Peugeot 208 R2, gaining the second class place at the 102nd edition of Targa Florio. The young Tuscan increases his position at the top of the Rally Junior Italian Championship and Peugeot Competition 208 Top Trophy thanks to an almost perfect race, in which he has been in charge until three tests to the end, but tarnished by a banal spin off that has prevented himself to close the awayrace with a full score.

Mixed feelings for Stefano Strabello, aboard Peugeot 208 R2 as well; he has satisfaction for interpretino and conducting the difficult Sicily race with a big mastery, but also the regret for not being able to end the excellent performance in which he had been occupying the fourth place in Junior. After a crescendo race, in which he had recorded the second class time on PS10, a slight road exit has caused the fracture of the Verona driver’s left thumb, preventing himself to complete the mileage.

In addition to the CIR task, two more cars were in action in the same weekend. Giovanni Gravante, aboard Peugeot 207 S2000, has gained a good third place in the overall rank at the 6th Rally Terra di Argil, while Mauro Mastella, on board of a Renault Clio S1600, has ended the 15th edition Benacus Rally at the fourteenth place in the overall rank.

BACK ON THE GROUND FOR CIRT

Edoardo Bresolin is back on the starting line, flanked by Rudy Pollet, for the second round of the maximum series reserved for the dirt track specialists, th Rally Terra Italian Championship.The couple will be on the starting line of the 16th Rally dei Nuraghi e del Vermentino this weekend, on May 12th and 13th, aboard Peugeot 208 T16 R5, to look for the top of the rank, to give impetus to the season, and to confirm the goodness of the car-crew couple.

Also Marco Rigali will be on race, in a couple Joe D’Alessandro, aboard Peugeot 208 R2, with the aim of increasing the experience on board ot the little of Peugeot and to get a good class placement.
