11 Oct COLFERAI AND NICOLETTI CLASS LEADERS AT BASSANO, ZANON WINS ALPE ADRIA RALLY CUP!

Power Car Team ends a demanding weekend between Italy and Austria with relevant results. Zanon winner of Alpe Adria Rally Cup, Colferai and Nicoletti, leaders of their category at Bassano, stand out.

After 100 km of special tests of 35° Rally Città di Bassano we review the results, which are more than positive.

Carlo Colferai confirms the prediction because, for the first time flanked by Massimo Moriconi, into the Peugeot 207 S2000, after positioning on the top of the “Valstagna 1” PS, he doesn’t’ let go the placement until the end, gaining the category victory and ending with a good eighteenth place in the overall classification.

First approach, for the couple Tiziano Panato/Michele Zandonà, with the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 after many races with the 207 S2000. Panato, after using the first kilometres to get the feeling with the car, he has exploited it in the second half of the race, being able to end his performance in the eighth class place.

Also Alessandro Nicoletti’s weekend ends with a smile, in a couple with Luca Zanrosso, class winner thanks to his performance with the Renault Clio 1600, built occupying the top of the podium in all of the eight special tests.

On the other hand the couple composed by Stefano Baggio/Francesco Berdin was unlucky, on the starting line with the other Renault Clio 1600, which has stopped its race during PS2 because of a road exit.

Thomas and Niccolò Andreola have retired as well, aboard Peugeot 208 R2, because of they exceeded the transfer limit timing.

ZANON ALPE ADRIA RALLY CUP 2018 CHAMPION

In Austria the fifth and second to last step of the Alpe Adria Rally Cup series took place, on the Niederösterreich Rallye 2018 asphalts.

The iron couple, composed by Bernd Zanon and his faithfull partner Denis Piceno, ended in tenth place in the overall classification, ensuring the “Alpe Adria” classification vistory. The points raised have permitted to reach the objective and gaining the title of 2018 Champions with an advance of one race, thanks to a seasonal route prepared well and to the binomy performance/reliability guaranteed by the Peugeot 208 T16 R5.
