25 Aug IN FORCE AT RALLY DEL FRIULI
New challenge for the Schio team that deploys five cars at Alpi Orientali. Two Peugeots 207 S2000 driven by Domenico Erbetta and Stefano Liburdi, both in race for CIWRC, two Renault Clio S1600 for Paolo Menegatti and Gabriele Beltrame, and finally with Giacomo Frisiero and “the little” Peugeot, the 208 R2.
Power Car Team is ready for the 53rd Rally del Friuli Venezia Giulia, better known as Rally delle Alpi Orientali, this weekend on 24/25/26 August, third to last appointment of WRC Italian Championship.
The event is very important for Domenico Erbetta, in a couple with Matteo Magrin, who will drive a Peugeot 207 S2000 to seek positive energy for CIWRC, and to leave behind his back the unlucky performances of 1000 Miglia and Marca. Another 207 S2000 will be on the starting line with the couple Stefano Liburdi/Andrea Colapietro, that, after the great vibes in the last two Championship test, is going to seek an important confirmation and important points for the rank.
Two Renault Clio S1600 deployed for the event, one for Paolo Menegatti placed side by side with Matteo Gambasin, and the other one for Gabriele Beltrame navigated by Paolo Lizzi.
The young Giacomo Frisiero completes the white-and-green squad, navigated by Luigi Pirollo, on a Peugeot 208 R2.
The tricolore WRC race, which this year is lightly modified regarding the mileage in order to adapt to federal regulations, consists in seven special tests, for a total amount of 103,160 timed kilometres. The start is on Friday 25 with the PS of Gemona, and then on Saturday the rest of the race program.
AN HIGH PROFILE SCORZE’ FOR COLFERAI
Great weekend for Carlo Colferai and Alice Mosele on board of a Peugeot 207 S2000; after taking the measures in the Saturday “special tests”, the couple raised the rhythm on Sunday, seeking excellent timings and ending “Scorzé” in fourth placement in the National Championship and in the second class place, confirming the value of the couple.
In race also Gianmarco Lovisetto on the Renault Clio S1600, who completed his performance gaining the 13th place in the National Championship.
