20 Sep SAN MARTINO’S EMOTIONS ARE UNIQUE!
Every pilot had an important performance, last weekend, at Rally San Martino; only one regret: Carella’s road exit. Two cars are ready for next weekend: one 208 R2 for Strabello at “Adriatico” for Cir Junior, the usual Clio S1600 for Rovatti in Casciana Terme.
A more than positive balance for Power Car Team, at the end of the 38th Rally San Martino di Castrozza, in which seven of eight cars finished the race.
Aboard Peugeot 207 S2000, the white-and-green bannermen enrolled for CIWRC Championship, Bizzotto, Liburdi and Trentin, have monopolised the class, occupying from second to fourth placamento, succeding to increase their own points. Regarding the top of the classification, Giampaolo Bizzotto, always fighting against Daprà from the beginning of the season, is chasing from three lenghts, however leading the Michelin Rally Cup; it is going to be an adrenaline final of the season, that will be raced on the Como asphalts, for the Rally scheduled for October. Good for Piva as well, who ended the race without any problem.
Disappointment for Andrea Carella who, after occupying the second position for almost all the race, he had a road exit with his Peugeot 208 T16 R5, losing points that would have permitted him to put himself to the top of the R5 classification of the WRC Italian Championship.
Masterful performance for Paolo Menegatti and Matteo Gambasin, dominators of the category aboard Renault Clio S1600 and they have been able to arrive closet o top-ten. The stainless couple, at “San Martino”, got in advance of one race, the WRC Italian Championship title for the second year in a row, in addition to the Michelin Rally Cup, S1600 category. Important performance also for Vittorio Ceccato, aboard the second Clio S1600 that was in race, who arrived to the second step of the class podium.
In R2 class, Stefano Baggio has defended the team’s colors. He was able to complete the milage with a total time of 1:26’51.4, which has permitted himself to reach the fourth class position, going close the podium.
READY FOR CIR JUNIOR AND CASCIANA TERME
This weekend, Stefano Strabello, aboard Peugeot 208 R2, will be back to the roads of Italian Rally Championship seeking a good placamento in the fifth stop of “Junior”, this time on the spectacular off-roads of the 25th Rally dell’Adriatico.
Michele Rovatti points the overall classification, again aboard the Renault Clio S1600, at the 36th Rally Casciana Terme, determined to continue the long and incredibile series of victory obtained since the beginning of the year.
