18 May POWER CAR TEAM AT THE TOP OF TERRA

The Marche away race ended at the best for the whole team. Marchioro 1st in “Terra” and 4th in the national champioship of CIR, De Tommaso 1st in Junior and in Peugeot 208 Competition Top, Ciuffi 2nd of R2B and Cecchettini with excellent class timing. Next weekend we are on different starting lines; in Bulgaria with Yagiz Avci, at Taro for the second IRC test with Ciuffi, Goldoni, Melino, Vellani and Zanon, at Bellunese with Pizzato.

Last weekend was electrifying at Power Car Team at the 24th Rally Adriatico, with rich result in CIRT, in CIR Junior and in Peugeot 208 Competition Top.

Nicolò Marchioro, with Marco Marchetti, have shown with no doubt to not have rivals on the ground and to understand the Peugeot 208 R5 behavior. The young Venetian had a great management in all of the two races, ending his performance with the first place of “Terra” and with the fourth one of the national championship of CIR, amazing! Thanks to the conquered points he settles on the top of CIRT with 26,25 points, followed by Ceccoli with 21.

The very young Damiano De Tommaso and Tommaso Ciuffi have been strong and courageous. On board of “the little” of Peugeot, the 208 R2, they have fought valiantly until the latest special test, the Varese driver won the duel in front of the tuscan for only 4”3. De Tommaso thanks to this great performance leaps to the second place of CIR Junior rank with 20,50 points, behind Pollara the current reigning champion. As regards the Peugeot 208 Competition Top, De Tommaso takes the top of the rank with equal merit with Mazzocchi, and Ciuffi thanks to his excellent performance takes up the fourth place and insert himself between the title challengers.

Great vibes and amazing timings also for Luca Cecchettini and his 207 S2000, unfortunately stopped because of a road exit in “PS 7 Santo Stefano” while he was occupying the second class place behind Nucita. Back on sunday for the Super-Rally, he continued gaining great timings in the test race, unfortunately the penalization prevented him to take a merit place.

NEXT WEEKEND BULGARIA, TARO AND BELLUNESE

Five cars deplyed for the 24th International Rally of Taro, second of four appointemnt of IRC. Three are the Peugeot 208 R2 prepared for the crews Marco Melino/Giovanni Maifredini, Tommaso Ciuffi/Nicolò Gonella and Simone Goldoni/Marco Nari and a Peugeot 207 S2000 for the couple Bernd Zanon and Alessandro Rappoldi. The National rally variant looks Roberto Vellani in a couple with Luca Amadori, who seeks the national victory on board of the Peugeot 208 R5.

At the 48th Rally Bulgaria the couple composed by Yagiz Avci and Bahadir Gucenmez, on board of the Peugeot 208 R5, joins the fray for the first appointment of the year. The event is the second gig of the National Turkish Championship and of the European Rally Trophy Balkan Rally Trophy section.

Mike Pizzato is back, after a little time far from the races, with Davide Emanuele Cortese, on board of a Renault Clio S1600 for the 32nd Rally Bellunese.
