POWER CAR TEAM MOVES TO RALLY DEL FRIULI

For the fourth CIWRC appointment an important team is ready for a high-adrenaline weekend: there will be expert crews on the starting line.
The Schio team’s route continues in the WRC Italian Championship, ready to approach at its best the 54th Rally del Friuli Venezia Giulia on August 31 and September 01.
A Peugeot 208 T16 R5 is ready to race with Andrea Carella, who will be again in a couple with Enrico Bracchi. The Piacenza pilot, after “Marca” missstep, has to do his best to stay on the top of the classification, exploiting the absence of the leader Forato.
A trio of Peugeot 207 S2000 will be on race as well, driven by the crews Bizzotto/Tommasini, Liburdi/Colapietro and Trentin/Coletti. Giampaolo Bizzotto, class leader, after being fast on the first three appointments of the CIWRC series, he will have to defend the top of the classification by containing the rival attacks.Stefano Liburdi and Mauro Trentin have to perform well because they occupy respectively the third and the fourth place in the rank and they are contenders of a place on the final podium.
The crews composed by Paolo Menegatti/Matteo Gambasin and Cristian Marsic/Daniela Festa complete the rich attendance, both aboard Renault Clio S1600. Menegatti, after a great performance at “Schio” and french S1600 expert, he starts as class leader; Marsic, who is back on board after his good adventure at Rally Montecarlo 2017, he will be on the starting line of the home-rally trying to use his background.
The event, that consists of eight special tests for a total amount of 117,400 kilometres of timed tests, only a part of the total route of 424,470, it starts on Friday evening with the “Porzus” and “Città dello Sport e del Benstare” PSes, and it continues the day after with the rest of the six tests and the arrival at Piazza Libertà in Udine.
