READY FOR GROUND..READY FOR ADRIATICO!

Four standard bearers are ready for Marche dirt roads, Marchioro looks for some points for CIRT, Cecchettini wants to confirm the victory of Liburna, De Tommaso seeks points for Junior and Ciuffi for a great ground performance. Last weekend at Elba, great race for Domenico Erbetta, at his first CIWRC task, with a first class S2000 place; satisfactions also for Francesco Bettini who confirms himself as the leading driver of home rally, he ranked himself at 3rd class place and 10th in the National Championship.
Power Car Team prepares the 24th Rally Adriatico, the fourth CIR appointment, second of CIRT and third of Junior CIR.
Two crews on the starting line on Marche dirt roads are enrolled for the Rally Terra Italian Championship and one for the Tricolore Junior. At “Terra”, Nicolò Marchioro as usual placed side by side with Marco Marchetti, on board of the Peugeot 208 T16 R5, seeks a great performance, for redeeming the unlucky experience at Liburna. With a Peugeot 207 S2000, the galvanized couple composed by Luca Cecchettini and Paolo Garavaldi, after the great race at the first CIRT appointment, it is back at the start, looking again for laurels. The “terra” gig is very important for the rank, because it will assign an increased score with a 1,5 coefficient.
Two are the Peugeot 208 R2 prepared for the event, for Damiano De Tommaso navigated by Michele Ferrara and Tommaso Ciuffi in a couple with Massimiliano Bosi; they both seek for a great performance on the white Marche roads, and in particular De Tommaso is going to search important points for Junior.
The race, which is divided in two stages, on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14, with a total amount of 130 km, it will be articulated on 15 PS.
The starting ceremony takes place at Senigallia downtown, on Friday 12th of May, at 19.30, with a finish line in Cingoli at Viale Valentini at 16.00 on Sunday.
A BITTERSWEET AWAY GAME AT ELBA
Great beginning for Domenico Erbetta in CIWRC. The Manfredonia driver, thanks to an outstanding performance on board of a Peugeot 207 S2000, got the class S2000 victory and he obtained the first points for reaching the final success. High level performance for Francesco Bettini as well with a Peugeot 208 T16 R5, who confirms his leadership ending in the National top-ten and with the class R5 bronze. On the other hand a bitter pill for others crews on the tuscan island. Forato/Gasparotto and Maestrini/Michi, both with the 208 R5, ended prematurely the race, the first because of a touch on the right rear while he was driving a great race at the first class place, the second because of a hit on Volterraio that damaged the suspension. A pity also for the couple Menegatti/Gambasin, forced to the retirement because of their Clio S1600 drive shaft break.
