THE RALLY DEL FRIULI GIVES FOUR PODIUMS

The weekend  ended with important results in all the classes in which the white-and-green crews have participated. Rovatti prepares the final assault to the “two-wheel drive” classification of IRC.
The white-and-green away-race of the 54th Rally del Friuli Venezia Giulia on the Friuli roads ended with a quadruple of podiums.
Andrea Carella reaches the target after the bad away race of “Marca”; he was seeking an high level performance aboard the Peugeot 208 T16 R5; for him a third class placement and the gain of important points for the CIWRC Championship, that has in store two important appointments yet.
Regarding crews aboard Peugeot 207 S2000, Giampaolo Bizzotto and Stefano Liburdi, have ended respectively in second and third class placement. Bizzotto is still tied for the leader of the classification with Daprà,  making more interesting the category reserved to four-wheel-drive, on the other and Liburdi keeps the third placement in the overall classification. It has been a pity for Mauro Trentin, who has raced with wet conditions for the first time with his 207 S2000 and he retired during the seventh special test.
Paolo Menegatti, in a couple with Matteo Gambasin, has been the leader of the category aboard Renault Clio S1600 and, at the end of the timed route, he got the first class place and the eleventh placement in the overall classification. Cristian Marsic and Daniela Festa race’s ended at the last PS. They had a crescendo performance after using the first tests to reach the feeling with the car, because of a brake breakup.
FINAL IRC ROUND WITH ROVATTI
Michele Rovatti is going to race the fourth and last appointment of IRC series, flanked by Valentina Catone, aboard Renault Clio S1600. For the Tuscan pilot, the away race at the 62nd edition of Rally Coppa Valtellina is demanding because, on the Valtellina roads the outcome of the two-wheel-drive classification will be decided, in which Rovatti now is the leader with 163 points.
