28 Sep A LION WEEKEND BETWEEN BASSANO, COSTA SMERALDA AND APPENNINO REGGIANO

A great attendance with five standard-bearers at Rally di Bassano, Marchioro at Costa Smeralda for the CIRT ground appointment and finally Vellani at Appennino Reggiano.

Power Car Team is preparing another demanding weekend.

The majority of the team is deployed at the 34th Rally Città di Bassano, scheduled on 29th and 30th September, when three Peugeot 207 S2000 will be on the starting line, with three crews: Francesco Pozza/Ivan Gasparotto, Mauro Trentin/Michele Coletti, Tiziano Panato/Michele Zandonà.

The young Pozza, after gaining the class on the last edition, is looking to remake that result; Panato, is back after a good performance at “1000 Miglia”, and after one year stop, seeks to improve himselfi; Trentin, the beginner is going to know a new kind of race.

Vittorio Ceccato placed side by side with Rudy Tessaro and David Bizzozero with Denis Tosetto are going to take part too, both on board of a Renault Clio S1600, in a fighting class.

The event, that this year is valid for the Mitropa Cup and the Italian Cup, starts on Saturday 30 September at 7.01, and ends at piazza Libertà in Bassano in the evening, after covering 100 km of special tests.

Beyond “Bassano” there are also two Peugeot 208 T16 R5 driven by Nicolò Marchioro and Roberto Vellani.

Marchioro, placed side by side with his friend Marco Marchetti, will be at Rally Costa Smeralda for the fifth and second to last of Rally Terra Italian Championship, to gain the top place of the podium.

Vellani, in a couple with Fabio Cangini, happy for the RAAB victory, will be on the starting line of the 38th Rally Appennino Reggiano, with the only aim of victory in the AciSport Championship, not an impossible task for the Reggio Emilia pilot.

EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE FOR CIUFFI AND CLASS PODIUM FOR PUCCI, WHAT A PITY FOR ZANON

Last weekend at the 61th Rally Coppa Valtellina, there was the last IRC Cup appointment, giving emotions until the end.

Another amazing performance for Tommaso Ciuffi on board of the Peugeot 208 R2, who, after fighting with Razzini, ends his race with an excellent second class place and a fifteenth in the overall rank.

A real pity for Bernd Zanon, on top of S2000 class with his 207 until the last PS, when he has retired because of a crossed trajectory with a small wall in the last three kilometers of the race.

On the other hand there was a race without any problem for Pucci/Rossi, that ends on the third class S1600 place Rally della Riviera.
