26 Jul A PODIUM WEEKEND BETWEEN SCHIO AND ROMA CAPITALE

The home rally “Schio” is closed, with big satisfaction and excellent placements of the crews. In Rome Strabello centers the first important podium in Junior, Ciuffi unlucky, betrayed by car break. This weekend we are back to race with Rovatti at RAAB.

Power Car Team leaves behind a important weekend, in which it has been at work with a consistency attendance at “Schio”, and a double presence in Rome at CIR Junior.

Big satisfaction on the hometown roads at the 28th Rally Città di Schio, with two cars on the podium and four arrived on the first six places.

All the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 have completed the mileage giving high level performance to their drivers. Prominent performance for Adriano Lovisetto, who has got the second place in the overall classification, and Andrea Basso, who has taken a good revenge with the Schio rally after the unlucky race of last year, when he ended in fourth place in the overall rank and in second class place. Good performance also for Mauro Rongoni, who ended his race in fourth class place without any problem.

Paolo Menegatti surprises in S2000 class, thanks to a fought race worrying the higher class pilots, he has closed with a wonderful third place in the overall classification. It has been a pity for Giovanni Costenaro, aboard Peugeot 207 S2000 as well, stumbled in a road exit that has ended a performance which was giving big timing satisfaction to the young Vicenza pilot.

Alessandro Nicoletti has reached a important result, aboard Renault Clio S1600, by ending in sixth place in the overall rank, after leaving behind many rival who were driving more performing cars.

Two bannermen has committed in Rome with “Junior”. Stefano Strabello is back from the 6th Rally di Roma Capitale, fourth appointment of Rally Junior Italian Championship, with a superb third place in the class classification. The young Verona pilot, aboard Peugeot 208 R2 and flanked by Paolo Scardoni, has built his performance test by test thanks to a judicious race management, that has permitted himself to conquer important points for the Championship.

Unlucky race for Tommaso Ciuffi who, after raising an important delay during the first test of Saturday, he has got back on track recording excellent class timings. The Firenze pilot has been able to get back in second place in Junior, before raising the white flag, during PS12, because of the loss of oil after the engine-exchanger break of  his Peugeot 208 R2.

Back aboard Renault Clio S1600 the couple Michele Rovatti/Valentina Catone, seeking the fifth class victory in a row on the asphalts of the 30th edition of Rally Alto Appennino Bolognese.
