20 Apr A FOUR-APPOINTMENTS WEEKEND DIVIDED AMONG TURKEY, SLOVENIA AND ITALY

A weekend with for important dates, two international and two national. The team will be at the starting place for the first gig of the Turkish Championship with Yagiz Avci, on the Sicilian roads for Targa Florio with De Tommaso, in Slovenia for the Vipavska Dolina with Zanon and finally close to Bergamo in Prealpi Orobiche with Menegatti and Melino.

Power Car Team restarts after the Easter break with four dates and it adds the beginning of the National Turkish Championship to the hefty national tasks. After conquering the first place last year, the team stable is back to the international front and it restarts from the 27th Ege Rallisi. The qualified couple composed by Yagiz Avci and Bahadir Gucenmez is going to gain laurels, on board the main Peugeot car, the 208 T16 R5 EVO2017.

The programme continues for Damiano De Tommaso Italian Championship Junior Rally, this time flanked by Michele Ferrara, at the 101th Targa Florio start place. The young Varese driver, after his debut at “Sanremo”, is going to exhibit on the Sicilian asphalts on board of Peugeot 208 R2, looking for a great performance which permits himself to gain important points for the championship.

In Slovenia, at 7th Vipavska Dolina, Bernd Zanon and Denis Piceno are going to search again a significant performance, pointing directly to the top placement. A Peugeot 207 S2000 is deployed for them who will bring it to the 94 km race including all “special test”, divided in 85 on asphalt and 8 on dirt road, in which there is also a nocturnal show test in the centre of Aidussina.

After a two years break the most important Bergamo race, the 32th Prealpi Orobiche, is back. The are two crews at the event, the first composed by Paolo Menegatti and Matteo Gambasin on a Renault Clio S1600, which attends the race training for the Italian WRC Championship, the second by Marco Melino and Manuela Laffranchi on board of a Peugeot 208 R2. The National race is divided by 3 special tests for a total amount of 60 km.
